Creative Process

What materials do you use?

Pieces are typically created using watercolor and acrylic on Korean Hanji or Thai Kozo papers in addition to recycled materials such as library date cards. I used LaCroix cardboard, newspapers, a university policies booklet, caution tape, and beer packaging in custom pieces!

How do you weave paper?

Artwork is designed using 1/8” strips of paper (weft) that are woven through a cut foundational piece (warp) with the help of a sewing needle. I add one piece at a time to ensure consistency and straight lines.

What inspires your work?

My work focuses on the redefinition of traditional book structures. Through sculpture and painting, the pieces reflects the time, place, and emotions embedded within significant moments.
